LUGGAGE
ADVICE
AUSTRALIA
The Australian Government have introduced new rules for taking liquids, aerosols and gels in your hand luggage onto international flights as of  Saturday, 31 March 2007.
Speaking at Adelaide Airport today, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Transport and Regional Services, Mark Vaile, said the new rules limit the amount of liquids you can take in your hand luggage onto an overseas flight.
Under the new rules, every container of liquids, aerosols or gels in your carry-on baggage must be 100 millilitres or less and contained in one transparent, one-litre plastic bag. These restrictions apply to (but are not limited to) the following items:
Beverages and foods in sauces/liquids
Shampoos and soaps
Perfumes and deodorants
Creams, lotions and oils
Pastes including toothpaste
Lip balm, lip gloss and lip sticks
Hair gels, hair spray or other items of a similar consistency.
